Just days after the rupture of the Deepwater Horizon well, Florida’s public and private universities joined forces in response through the Oil Spill Academic Task Force, an entity which has become a clearing house for key information on the spill.
Coordinated by Florida State University and chaired by FSU Associate Vice President for Research Ross Ellington, the task force is gathering important information and data for researchers, government officials and the public to help them understand the impact of the nation’s largest environmental disaster.
