Coronavirus Update 3/18:

The Florida State University System including USF has extended the suspension of face to face classes until at least the end of the spring semester and possibly into the summer sessions.  See www.usf.edu/coronavirus for details. Because of this, the Florida Institute of Oceanography (FIO) is postponing student and scientific activities (e.g. cruises and Keys Marine Lab stays) until USF resumes face to face courses. This follows our strategy outlined in the FIO Operational Guidelines During the Coronavirus Alert document. The earliest we will be able to reschedule a cruise or a KML stay would be May 10th, but it is entirely possible that the postponement of face to face classes and thus FIO cruises/KML stays could continue into the summer sessions. For those of you with cruises scheduled coming months, please stay in touch with Rob Walker. Those of you planning stays at KML should remain in touch with Lisa Tipsword. We apologize for any inconvenience and we will keep you updated. As the Coronavirus Alert develops, we will work with you to update cruise/KML stay plans.
