The Florida Institute of Oceanography (FIO), headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL is undergoing a restructuring and searching for a new Director who will be responsible for leadership, strategic planning and operation of the overall scientific program, projects, initiatives, outreach, education, and fund raising related to the mission of FIO.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and seven years of professional experience; or Master's degree and five years of professional experience. Thorough understanding of ocean processes and experience with oral and written presentation in scientific meetings. Familiarity with management of marine research vessels and/or marine laboratories operations.
