Sydney Gangas joined the KML team in January 2026 as an Administrative Specialist. She received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from Illinois State University. In 2020, she relocated to south Florida and received her master’s degree in marine conservation at the University of Miami. Her research was based at a local Florida keys dolphin rehabilitation and rescue center, where she then was employed for 4 years. Sydney managed the welfare of 8 cetaceans along with managing social media platforms, the volunteer program, and other administrative duties. She is a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and Scientific freediver.
