Biography

Bill Ferrell is a Staff Biologist and the newly designated unit Dive Safety Officer at Keys Marine Lab and responsible for over-seeing AAUS dive activities at the lab. He has a BS degree in Mathematics, is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and US Coast Guard licensed Captain of vessels to 100 tons. Bill has been a resident of the Keys for over 30 years and owned a dive center in Marathon for twenty years.  He has a wealth of local knowledge of the marine environment and expertise in and on the waters around the Florida Keys. Bill joined the KML staff in August 2008 as Facilities Maintenance and Marine Mechanic, but also assisted as Boat Captain and AAUS scientific diver.
