Lila Edwards serves as the Budget Director for the Florida Institute of Oceanography (FIO), overseeing financial strategy and long-term planning for the institute’s research vessels and marine facilities.

She leverages her experience in higher education finance to find practical, sustainable solutions that support both operations and growth. Lila works closely with university leadership and stakeholders to advance FIO’s role as a hub for marine science research and education.

She is currently pursuing her MBA and, outside of work, runs a small business, creating handmade ceramic art.
